Learn the art & science of making a great beer. This unique class is being hosted by a local homebrewer, who will teach you the skills to make your own special pint at home. This is a fundraiser for Green Worker Cooperatives, a local, sustainable worker coop business incubator in the South Bronx. Making up a batch of your favorite brew and sharing it with a group of equally interested people is what homebrewing is all about. The class will cover the simple pleasures of brewing to newcomers and for the experienced you will likely find yourself becoming a better brewer, connecting with new brewers (friends) and possibly a sprout an interest in homebrewing worker cooperative. The instructor will also recommend and provide resources after the class is over. This is the perfect class is for those who enjoy a good beer and those who like to spend time with those who do. This 90 minute class is $50. All of the proceeds will be donated to Green Worker Cooperatives.

The fundraiser is to benefit Green Worker Cooperatives and its programs. Our mainstay program, Coop Academy is 16 week long intensive program to introduce, educate and assist groups on how to form worker-run cooperatives that are local and sustainable. Recent graduates from our programs have gone on to open South Bronx based worker run cooperatives that are environmentally friendly and sustainable for the community and greater NYC.

Access to Transportation
The BankNote Building is located adjacent to the Bruckner Expressway in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx and is in close proximity to the 6, 2, and 5 subway lines. Event is on the top floor
