Dinners
JUMP TO SATURDAY SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY
Beer and food have been receiving a lot of press of late, and for good reason. Beer is a wholesome, nutritious beverage with complex flavors ideally suited to pairing with equally complex flavors in food. In fact, many argue that beer is food and should be respected as such. Then again, beer can be a refreshing drink to cool you in the summer heat. Beer is suited to complement any situation, from a relaxing day in the sun to a five-course meal prepared by a respected chef. The important thing is that beer is a social creature which likes to mingle. It is only at its best when consumed with you, your friends and family, or fellow delicious foodstuffs at its side. So go forth and give it the proper company it yearns for.

The legend of the six-pointed star has long been associated with the craft of brewing. Since the Middle Ages, it was customary for brewers to brand their beer with a six-pointed star to signify purity and excellence. By the early twentieth century, some brewers maintained this tradition by incorporating the symbol into their logos. Sixpoint Craft Ales has resurrected the legend of the six-pointed brewer’s star. Our logo, like our mission, is a modern interpretation of classical brewing traditions. It is our quest to respect and honor the centuries-old tradition of craft brewing while forging ahead with new techniques, styles, and flavors.
The food at The Good Fork is Eclectic New American which essentially means foods we love to eat. Sohui Kim and Ben Schneider draw globally but try to stay simple in their cuisine. Emphasizing seasonal ingredients and farm to table whenever possible, Added Value produce is regularly incorporated into their dishes.
Added Value Farm is transforming a once dilapidated playground into vibrant community resource where young and old work, study and grow together as they sow, nurture and harvest plants on a 2.75 acre urban farm. Operated by our staff, youth leadership team and a dedicated core of volunteers and interns the Farm is a vibrant intergenerational space and experiential educational environment for all. Food grown on the Farm is sold at our Farmers’ Markets, to local restaurants and donated to those in need. Today the Farm provides sustenance to residents, creates meaningful work for neighborhood teens, generates economic activity and improves the health and well-being of our community.

The beers at the Empire Brewing Company have always walked the line between being accessible to the mainstream, yet interesting enough for the more adventurous beer drinkers.
While certain styles push the envelope, such as their Aphrodisiac Ale or the Instigator Doppelbock, there are also lighter styles as well, such as their three time GABF gold medal winning Skinny Atlas Light and the Downtown
Brown, a classic session ale. Many times Empire’s beers are seasonally driven, with various wheat and fruit beers in the warmer months, and a dry Irish stout and a barley wine in the fall. Rarely poured outside of the brewpub
in Syracuse, their introduction to NYC is a truly special occasion.
Lansdowne Road was voted the best sports bar in NYC by City Search in 2007, in just our first year in operation. With 16 High Definition flat screens and every sports package available in the HD format, Lansdowne Road quickly became a destination spot for the city’s sports fans. The food is a simple mix of Irish pub fare and classic bar food, including wings, burgers, and pizzas. Fourteen different draughts are available, including Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA and Stone IPA. Other, less adventurous offerings are available as well.
Lansdowne Road will be pairing 5 small plates, or appetizer portions, with 5 small plates from The Empire Brewing Co. Each set of small plates will be paired with a different Empire beer to complement the food parings.
The 5 beers are as follows: Amber Ale, Afro, Downtown Brown, Hefeweizen, and Instigator Dopplebock.
Empire's 5 small plates are: Sweet Fire (Brown sugar basted spicy sausage), craw fish NOLA, gumbo, fish tacos, and seared scallops.
Lansdowne Road's 5 small plates are: Turkey Chili, porter stew, warm pretzles, steak sandwich, and veggie nans.

Heartland was one of the pioneers to ignite New York’s passion for craft beers. Since opening in 1995, they have consistently brewed New York’s freshest craft beers, including Heartland’s classic six as well as a wide range of unique seasonal brews. Brewers assemble a variety of distinctly American ingredients to create Heartland’s beer recipes. Heartland’s beers taste different than any imports because they are made from indigenous ingredients like Wisconsin malt, hopes from Washington and Oregon, and American yeast. All beers are served at their freshest within one to two weeks of brewing. With an eclectic breweriana-themed decor, and two bars, your dinner is sure to be a match of great American beer and food.
